Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Baseball team was shut down by Aurora University 6-0 on Saturday in the 2011 home opener at The Ballpark at Strong Stadium.

The Bucs managed just two hits against a pair of Spartans' pitchers - Jake Tresemer had an infield single in the fourth and Evan Mascitti lashed a clean single to right in the eighth.

Aurora got unearned runs in the second and third innings off starter Alex Norman.  They added a third run in the sixth on a solo home run.

AU got some cushion in the ninth with three tallies before the Buccaneers went in order in the bottom of the inning to end it.

Beloit's doubleheader at Wisconsin Lutheran College scheduled for Monday has been postponed due to poor field conditions in Milwaukee.  So the Bucs will be back at The Ballpark on Friday when they host North Central College for a doubleheader.  First pitch for game one is at 1:00 p.m.
