She joined the college staff in 1919, working in the office of the registrar (then a faculty member) and in 1923 became the College's first full-time registrar, holding that post until her retirement with emeritus rank in 1957. She had been named an honorary member of Phi Beta Kappa in 1956, and was active in state and national associations of registrars, heading the state association at one time. She was also active in social and club affairs in the city. She was 71. At the 1959 Commencement, she was awarded a Distinguished Service Citation when her class observed its 45th reunion, and at that time was praised for her insistence upon high standards of scholarship "which has enhanced every Beloit degree".
