When asked what changed them most during their years at the College, Beloit alumni are apt to cite not what but whom: their teachers.

Many of Beloit’s professors have joined the faculty precisely because they know that they--not cadres of graduate teaching assistants--will be on the front lines of classroom education and other interactions with students. Beloit remains steadfast in its commitment to this model of teaching.

The impact of $15,000,000 in funding designated for teaching and academic programs will be felt throughout the curriculum and the campus.

• The creation of several endowed chairs will recognize excellence among the existing faculty. The distinction accorded to faculty through endowed chairs elevates Beloit’s stature among applicants, students, faculty, alumni, and foundations.
• Recruitment of top candidates for newly created, as well as established, academic positions energizes the entire academic program.
• Expendable funds will provide faculty with resources to support new programs and departmental budgets.
