Unrestricted gifts to the Beloit Fund have greatest impact
How does the Beloit Fund sustain the inquisitive spirit of Beloit College? Because Beloit Fund gifts are unrestricted, they are the most dynamic and flexible source of revenue for the College. When pressing needs arise or new ideas call for bold action, the Beloit Fund provides the necessary resources.

These are some ways the Beloit Fund is used:
  • Unique internships and study abroad programs
  • Library materials and lab equipment
  • Faculty research stipends and salaries
  • Financial aid and scholarships
  • Buildings and grounds upkeep

Help keep the Beloit spirit alive by generously supporting the Beloit Fund today. Give Now!

Charitable IRA Legislation Reinstated
The charitable IRA legislation is back for a repeat performance—don't miss this second-chance opportunity to make tax-free gifts from your IRA! There's good news for individuals aged 70½ or older with individual retirement accounts. Thanks to the extended charitable IRA legislation, you can once again make outright gifts using IRA funds without tax complications.

If you are required to receive minimum distributions from your IRA and you do not need the money for personal use, consider using those funds as a charitable gift. While you cannot claim a charitable deduction for the IRA gifts, you will not pay income tax on the amount. Read more

The Chapin Scholars Initiative
In the fall of 2007, the challenge of growing support for student scholarships lead to a new opportunity: the Chapin Scholars Initiative. Chapin donors were asked to increase their gift by $1500 to provide additional funding for Chapin Scholarships. The leadership of Chapin donors is evidenced everywhere on campus, whether it be through support of the Beloit Fund, the library, athletics, or any number of other important areas. Chapin donors were encouraged to continue to support the things they value but were also asked to consider an additional $1500 to support scholarships for deserving students. Read More

Track Facilities in Need of Renovation
Beloit track and field is an essential part of the proud Beloit College athletic heritage. It comprises the largest student roster of any athletic team on campus. This strong interest has developed despite the fact that, for more than a decade, NCAA competitive standards have prohibited the College from holding home meets on Beloit’s current six-lane track. The Track Renovation Project will provide Beloit student athletes with first-rate track and field facilities and will restore the opportunity and excitement of competing before our own home crowd. Freeman Foundation Grant Strengthens Asian Studies
Beloit College recently received a $300,000 Freeman Foundation grant to further strengthen Asian Studies over a three-year period. The Freeman Foundation’s Undergraduate Asian Studies Initiative II Program grant builds upon work accomplished with the support of a December 2001 Freeman Foundation grant of more than $1 million. The funding will be used to expand teaching and learning opportunities focusing on Asia; make strategic use of both on- and off-campus resources that support Asian Studies, including partnerships; and promote curricular innovation by sharing best practices in Asian Studies within the College and with other institutions, particularly liberal arts colleges located in the Midwest.
