Valerie Catherine Wickhem

Class of 1911

Editor, Director of Admissions, educational administrator, native Beloiter

Your long association with the University of Chicago as Editor of Official Documents and Director of Admissions had much to do with establishing and maintaining the high repute in which that institution is held today in all parts of the world.

You have been of valuable service to your own alma mater as Alumni Trustee and as the first and only woman president of the Beloit Alumni Club in Chicago.  Your leadership in professional societies has been recognized by the inclusion of your name in publications citing accomplishments of middle western citizens of merit.

Beloit College now is pleased to add its accolade to those you already have received by awarding you this Distinguished Service Citation.
