Bachelor of Arts, Beloit, 1920. One-time editor of the ROUND TABLE, you have become a national figure in the field of journalism.  As president of Sigma Delta Chi, national professional journalism fraternity, you are a powerful influence in America’s fourth estate, and as editor of the fraternity’s magazine for several years you have used its columns wisely and well in advancing the cause of a free press.  Your present position as an editorial writer for one of America’s great newspapers, the Chicago Daily News, reflect additional honor on yourself and your alma mater which is happy today to recognize your accomplishments with this Distinguished Service Citation.
