Born and bred in Wisconsin; self-supporting student in college; guided into the study

and love of art by Miss Caroline Burr in our Art Hall; life-long art-lover and collector; distinguished curate and dean in the Episcopal Church; awarded the distinction of several knicknames by students of art history; frequent traveler to Europe in search of cultural remains and art objects; promoter of libraries for community use; donor of many art treasures to your Alma Mater.  Your career has brought you high personal distinction and reflects honor on your Alma Mater.
