William Henry Bradshaw

Class of 1904

Scholar, Chemist, Researcher

Bachelor of Science, Beloit 1904; degree in Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1907.  Joined E. I. duPont de Nemours in 1926 after similar association with other companies.  Director of viscose rayon research for duPont in 1940.

Awarded Jacob F. Schoellkopf medal by western New York section of the American Chemical Society for achievement in chemistry said award on the basis of “cordura”, a rayon substitute for cotton, especially useful in automobile tires. As recommended by the Alumni Council, it gives me pleasure to present you this Distinguished Service Citation.
