American Field Study, Rotary, and Youth for Understanding Scholarships
Students who wish to be considered for merit scholarships are strongly encouraged to apply by December 1 under the non-binding early action plan.
These scholarships are open to students who have been abroad through an AFS, Rotary, or YFU Program. The scholarship is also available to U.S. citizens who are living overseas as expatriates and studying in high schools with American-type high school curricula. The scholarships are worth $16,000 ($4,000 per year, renewable for 4 years).
To compete, students must submit an essay discussing their international experience and a completed application for admission no later than January 15.
To renew this scholarship, a student must achieve at least a 2.5 GPA during the first year on campus and maintain a 3.0 GPA by the end of the sophomore year.
