1. A Completed Common Application for Admission

It is our preference that student's apply through the Common Application website where our supplement is also posted and is part of the application process.

Alternatively, you may apply via the Common Application paper form. Students applying on paper must also complete the Beloit College supplement, available here in PDF format.

2. $35 Application Fee

3. Secondary School Report and Teacher Recommendation Form

The Secondary School Report should be completed by your college advisor/guidance counselor and submitted directly to Beloit College with your high school transcript.

Beloit also requires a recommendation from one of your teachers, preferably someone who has taught you within the last year.

4. Official Secondary School Transcripts

Your college advisor/guidance counselor should send us official copies of your high school transcript/s.

5. Admissions Tests

Submit results of the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT exam to the Admissions Office. Beloit’s code numbers are SAT - 1059 / ACT - 4564. SAT Subject Tests are optional and are not required for admission. Beloit College does not consider the SAT or ACT Writing Exam for admission. Every applicant for whom English is a second language should take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Check with your secondary school counselor.

Optional Components (First-Year Applicants)

1. Additional Letters of Recommendation

Additional recommendations from faculty, parents, and others (employers, activity advisor, etc.) who know you in a different way are encouraged but not required.

2. Creative Samples

You may wish to submit a sample of your creative work (poetry, photography, art, music tape, research, etc.). We will be unable to return what you send to us; please send only copies, slides or photographs of your work.

3. Interviews

An interview is a great way to learn more about Beloit College and to let us know more about you. Contact the Admissions Office to set up a campus visit or to see when we'll be in your area offering interviews.
