ACM Chicago Arts Program The Chicago semester in the arts program has been folded into the Urban Studies program. (See below.)
ACM Newberry Library Seminar in the Humanities One of America's great research libraries provides the setting and resources for this fall semester program. Students attend seminars, meet with resident scholars, and conduct their own examinations of selected topics or historical periods using the Newberry Library's outstanding collections.
ACM Oak Ridge Science Semester This fall semester program is designed to allow qualified undergraduates to study and conduct research at the frontiers of current knowledge as a member of a research team at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) located near Knoxville, Tennessee.
ACM Urban Studies in Chicago Students in this program begin to understand the magnitude and complexity of an urban center by studying, working, and living in Chicago. The integrated academic and experiential program includes a core course introducing students to Chicago and the people making the art, attacking the problems, and transacting business. Students will choose an area of concentration: Urban Studies, Chicago Arts or Business & Society, elect a seminar course in that are, pursue an independent study project, and a supervised internship.
American University - Washington DC
Washington Semester Beloit College participates in the Washington semester program enables students to spend a term in specialized study in the nation's capital. Students use the facilities of the American University while investigating a broad range of political and governmental activities and topics. Internships, research projects, and a seminar course introduce students to the personalities and institutions of Washington.Marine Biological Laboratory Woods Hole, MA
Semester in Environmental Science The program, which takes place each fall semester at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA, stresses an ecosystems-ecology approach to the study of environmental science. It provides students with intensive field and laboratory study of diverse ecosystems in the context of two core courses: Terrestrial Ecosystems and Aquatic Ecosystems.Williams - Mystic
Maritime Studies Program
An interdisciplinary program on which undergraduates of all majors share one semester at Mystic Seaport to focus on the past, present, and future of the earth's oceans. Williams-Mystic combines the academic excellence of Williams College and the unparalleled learning environment of Mystic Seaport: The Museum of America and The Sea.SEA Semester
Students from all disciplines have a chance to study the ocean from many academic perspectives.The first part of the semester is at the Cape Cod campus and the second half is on a tall ship doing scientific research on either the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean, depending upon the semester.
In addition, from time to time, students identify and are permitted to apply to study on other domestic off-campus programs.
