INTRODUCTION
Domestic Off-campus Study programs offer students the opportunity to participate in a topical program at another university or study center. Such programs are designed and offered to afford students the opportunity to add a special dimension to their studies. In these programs students can:
* Do in-depth studies and independent research at the Marine Biological Laboratory, one of the nation's top centers for aquatic and coastal ecology.
* Experience how US federal economic policy is generated or complete an internship in a governmental office in one of American University's stellar Washington Semester programs.
* Work directly in one of the many aspects of an urban political system through ACM's Urban Studies Program to add to your repertoire of experience and understand the workings of governmental and non-governmental agencies.Students can also identify other domestic opportunities for persuing a passion, whether it is in documentary journalism or theatre or exploring the roles of women in civic leadership.

Twenty places are available for Beloit students to study on domestic programs through Beloit College each year. Students who prefer to take a vacation term to study at another institution for a semester can transfer credit to Beloit. An advantage of this option is that it does not require approval through the Office of International Education, but vacation term students cannot use Beloit Financial Aid. Students who transfer credit need to consult with the Registrar before enrolling in the program.Note: The Washington Semester program at American University in Washington D.C. requires students to be approved by their home school. This program cannot be done on a vacation term from Beloit.
The Field and Careers Services (FACS) offers other opportunities off-campus through internships and field terms for academic credit and other ways to become involved in experiential learning. Link to the FACS website.
