Bill received his B.A. in anthropology from Grinnell College in 1974 and M.A. (1987) and Ph.D. (1987) in anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before he came to Beloit College, Bill served as director of the Office of the State Archaeologist at the University of Iowa, and he also worked at the Wisconsin Historical Society and Western Illinois University. At Beloit, Bill handles overall management of the Logan Museum and teaches courses in anthropology and museum studies. His interests include North American archaeology, ethnohistory, and ethnology; paleoethnobotany and early agriculture; frontier societies and protohistoric cultures; and historical cartography.

Nicolette earned her B.A in anthropology in 1995 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and M.S. in museum studies and anthropology in 1999 from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her museum experience includes collections work at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History, Denver Art Museum, Pitt Rivers Museum of Ethnology and Archaeology, and Milwaukee Public Museum. Nicolette is responsible for the Logan Museum’s collections and also teaches Introduction to Collections Management in Beloit College’s museum studies program. Her interests include Native American ethnology, Oceanic ethnology, museum representation, tribal museums, and tourist art.

Dan holds a B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and an M.A. in public history and museum studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Before coming to Beloit College, Dan was the curator of exhibits at Midway Village Museum in Rockford, Illinois, where he also developed and presented programs, workshops, and lectures for children and adults. At the Logan Museum, Dan is responsible for developing new exhibits and educational programming. He is particularly interested in museum engagement, exhibit conservation, and the settlement history of southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
