You have probably already noticed beautiful patterns of sea shells. Our pages will introduce you to some theoretical background of sea shell patterns. Simple equations are often enough to model a fascinating variety of shapes and colors of shells. We hope you will enjoy the beauty of both shells and corresponding theoretical models.

This site was constructed using materials which Adam Robins '95 gathered for his special project. Adam explored theoretical morphology of sea shells using MacRaup program for shell modelling.

For a similar exploration of sanddolar morphospace check out site created by Vanja Klepac '98.
